The Senator Inn and Spa Opens New Hair Salon:
First of its Kind in Augusta
(Augusta, ME) The Senator Inn and Spa has expanded its spa services by adding a full-service hair salon. The salon opened in March and is the first of its kind in the Augusta marketplace to offer customers free access to spa services such as steam rooms, sauna, hot tubs, its signature swimming pool and the newly appointed gym featuring state-of-the-art strength training and aerobic conditioning equipment. Specializing in color treatment, makeovers and cuts, the salon is available to the public as well as hotel guests.
The Senator Inn and Spa recently hired stylist Holly Carlezon who brings 8 years of experience to the salon. The new salon offers many special features, including private appointments, complimentary scalp massage, makeovers, and Aveda hair and skin products.
“I believe we are unique in our priority to bring the relaxing spa experience to the hair salon, and to offer these services daily,” says Betsy Cook, co-owner of the Senator Inn and Spa. “Holly is very talented, and confidence inspiring. She is a great listener and is able to create a look that people feel really great about.” Cook also explains that the relaxed atmosphere of the salon and opportunities for private appointments are particularly inviting for men, who sometimes are looking for a more discreet salon experience.
According to Cook, adding the hair salon to the spa makes the facility truly “full-service.” “Our health club members and our hotel guests have consistently inquired about hair salon services. Bridal parties are also a growing part of our business, and offering everything from facials, to de-stressing massages, to hair styling and makeovers contributes to our ability to be the most full-service, relaxing spa and salon experience in Maine.”
